Types of Journeys

There are three main types of Journey, these are:

Employee only

Used for Journeys where no collaborative document or discussion with the manager (or someone else if a Journey manager is set) is required. These Journeys are sent to the employee only to complete though the manager can view their answers once submitted.

Best for: Opinion, General feedback

Employee + Collaborative document

Used for Journeys where the employee and manager (or someone else) should have a discussion once the employee has completed the initial Journey questions. At the end of the journey questions, the employee will have the chance to suggest a meeting date/time to discuss their answers. The initial questions go into a collaborative document that both the employee/manager can comment on, suggest changes and then approve once a discussion has taken place. The manager can answer questions once they’ve seen the employee answers (these will then be visible to the employee).

Best for: Future, Learning and Development

Dual prep

Used for Journeys where the employee and manager (or someone else) both answer some questions prior to seeing what the other person has answered. The employee does this via the Journeys feature whilst the manager will be prompted to answer via ‘Your People’. Once both sides have answered, it will populate a collaborative document where a final answer will be agreed for each question. Once a discussion has taken place and the collaborative document has been completed, it will need to be approved by the other participant.

Best for: Goal review, Goal setting, Performance (i.e. Behaviours, Values)
