Preview form and journey content

Content preview lets you see exactly what employees and managers will see in a form or journey, without sending it to yourself first.

What it is

Content preview in journeys lets you browse forms and journeys and see the actual wording your employees and managers will get. You can switch between Employee and Manager wording, switch job level groups when content differs by level, and step through each section of a multi-form journey. You can also download a PDF of what you're viewing.

Why it's there

It gives you a fast way to check exactly what recipients will see, before or after a journey goes out, without needing to send a real journey to yourself just to check the wording.

Who can use it

Anyone with the same Journeys admin access you already use for other journey admin screens. If you already manage journey content, you'll have this too.

How to use it

  1. Go to Journeys admin.
  2. Open the Preview content list.
  3. Browse or search for the form or journey you want to check (only journey and collaborative document form types appear here - Induction and Exit forms are managed via their own dedicated screens).
  4. Switch the filter to "Active and drafts" if you need to include draft forms.
  5. Open a form or journey to view its content.
  6. Switch View mode between Employee and Manager to see how the wording changes for each audience.
  7. If content differs by job level, switch between job level groups to check each version.
  8. For multi-form journeys, move between sections to review each step.
  9. Download a PDF if you need to share the content for markup - it will match whichever View mode (Employee or Manager) you currently have selected.

Good to know

  • Preview shows the most recently published content, not edits still in progress. If you've just requested us to change a form for you, those changes may not appear here immediately.
  • The journey welcome message only appears in Employee view, and only on the first section - it won't show in Manager view or on later sections.
  • A PDF download reflects one wording at a time (Employee or Manager), not both side by side. Set your View mode before downloading.
  • If a form's brand doesn't match your own brand access, it won't appear in the list.
  • If a form or journey looks like it has little or no content, try the other View mode or a different job level group - some questions only apply to one audience or level.
  • If a form you expect to see isn't listed at all, it may not be ready for preview yet - check with support if you think it should be there.
