Platform Configuration Admin Page
Platform configuration is where you manage your company's core settings in Korero: company name, logo, colour scheme, help contact details, the post-login welcome message, and maintenance mode.
What it is
This is the admin area for the fundamentals of how Korero looks and behaves for your company. From one place you can update your company name and logo, set your colours, choose who your people should contact for help, edit the message everyone sees when they sign in, and switch maintenance mode on or off.
Why it's there
It puts your company's branding and key settings in your own hands, so you can keep them up to date without asking us to make the changes for you.
Who can use it
You need the Platform Configuration permission. Superadmins have it automatically. Other roles only have it if it has been assigned to them.
Because this permission controls company-wide branding and settings, you may want to grant it only to the admins who should be making those changes, and withhold it from admins who handle day-to-day user management.
How to use it
Platform configuration is not in the left nav. Open it from the System Configuration section of the admin homepage (the Platform Configuration tile), or go straight to /admin/platform-configuration .
Main Details tab
- Update your company name and logo.
- Set your colour scheme: a primary colour, an accent colour, and an optional background tint (a light shade behind cards and panels). Use the "i" icon next to the heading for guidance on each one. If you leave the background tint blank, it falls back to a pale version of your primary colour.
- Set the help contact name and email your people should use.
- Turn maintenance mode on or off, and add an optional custom message for the holding page. See the separate Maintenance mode article for how this behaves.
- Save.
Content tab
- Edit the post-login welcome message. This overrides the default wording.
- Save. Blanking the editor removes your override and reverts to the default message.
Good to know
- When you save your company name, logo, or maintenance settings, your own view updates straight away. Everyone else picks up the new values the next time their app refreshes, usually within about an hour if they stay signed in.
- Welcome message and colour changes take a different path and can take a few minutes to appear for everyone. Hard-refresh the page if you are checking.
- If you edit the welcome message and it has not updated, wait a few minutes and hard-refresh, and confirm the Content tab still shows the text you intended (rather than a blank that cleared the override by mistake).
